VHF Pirates
Who are the VHF Pirates?  Well, to look up individuals, see
here.
But as a group, we are dedicated to activating Caribbean countries and
rare grid squares in those countries.  Our primary means is VHF,
particularly, 6m and 2m EME, but we will also do some casual HF operations
      as well.

Just because our stations are portable, however, does not mean they lack
power.  We begun in 2015 (before we had a name) and put on a
well-regarded operation on 2m EME from Eleuthera, Bahamas that made many
of the deserving happy.  We also enjoyed a spectacular opening on 6m
that enabled us to make many in Europe and the Eastern US quite
happy.  Our intent is to repeat these experiences as often as
      possible.

Typical Equipment

4 cross-polarized Yagis, aimed manually (but quite effectively) at the
      moon.  Amplifier is ~900 watts.
6m Yagi on a 17 foot boom.  Amplifier is 500 watts.
432 MHz on a 12 foot boom.  Power is 100 watts.
HF -- casual 100 watt operations.  In 2015, we none the less reached
all of Europe, Russia, and into Asia.
